Episode 56 – Ma’at and the Weighing of Your Heart

Hey friends and thank you so much for tuning in to episode 56 all about the ancient Egyptian ideals of Ma’at, death rituals, and what happens to our souls in the afterlife. Welcome to October! It’s Halloween season, y’all! Every year in October I pick some element of the archetype of the Halloween witch and talk about how it presents itself in modern witchcraft. This year I went a lil wacky and actually decided to talk about a few things like Death, divination, psychic power and darkness. Today we’re going to start at the end – death.  Specifically, what happened to the soul after it died in the new kingdom of ancient Egypt.

This episode was inspired by the Amenti Oracle by Jennifer Sodini and Natalee Miller and Invoke the Goddess by Kala Trobe – both of which are reviewed in the episode!

10 Books That’ll Unlock the Secrets Within Amenti Oracle: Feather Heart Deck and Guidebook
